Prayer is the lifeblood of the Christian. We take everything to God in prayer, not hoping that our prayer will change God, but hoping that our prayer will change us.
We will strive to pray daily
We gather in worship to be transformed by the grace of God as we are equipped by God's word and nourished at his table. We gather to receive in his presence and to celebrate his living presence among us.
We will strive to worship weekly
Luther said that we are to "so love God. ..that we keep his word holy and gladly hear and learn it." Growing in grace begins with a willingness to be lifelong students at the foot of Jesus who purposefully grow into maturity in Christ.
We will strive to read the Bible regularly
In 1 Peter 4:10 we read, "each one should use whatever spiritual gift you have received to serve others." We are strongest when all partners in this faith community discover and use their spiritual gifts to serve God's mission and his people and share his hope both locally and globally.
We will strive to serve at and beyond St Peter's
We Care and Share:
We build among us a community of welcome, love, encouragement and support. We take every opportunity to grow in grace together to provide spiritual growth through Christian fellowship as we build lasting relationships based on faith, acceptance Growth and respect.
We will strive to relate with others to provide spiritual growth
We are of all people most blessed. Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly. Giving joyfully, thankfully, freely and generously is one of the most blessed things we do.
We will strive to give generously
