We’re so glad you’re planning to visit us!
The first step is to decide which service you’d like to attend — or feel free to come to both! We offer two worship services each Sunday morning:
8:30am and 10:30am.
Our 8:30am service features hymns and songs led by our beautiful pipe organ. The pastor wears a white gown (called an alb), and the format is traditional, yet relaxed.
Our 10:30am service is led by one of our worship bands, with a more contemporary and casual style.
On the first Sunday of the month, we all worship together at 1030am and enjoy lunch together after the worship service.
Parking is available at the front of the church, among the pine trees. Additional parking is also available at the rear of the building, accessible via Sadlier Street.
When you arrive, head to the main entrance at the front of the building, where one of our friendly welcomers will greet you. Feel free to sit anywhere in the main worship space, or upstairs in the balcony area.
To access the upstairs seating, enter on the left-hand side of the building under the bell tower, follow the stairs up, turn left at the landing, and go through the double doors.
If you require step-free access, there’s a ramp entrance available on the right-hand side near the front of the building.
Our church bell rings 30 minutes before each service — some say it's to make sure our worship leaders are out of bed! But really, it’s a joyful reminder that worship will begin soon. You’ll hear it ring again at the start of the service.
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early, but if you’re running late, don’t worry — you’re always welcome.
If you’ve never been to a worship service before, you might be unsure of what to expect — and that’s completely okay!
Walking into a new place and experiencing Christian worship for the first time can feel a little daunting. We hope the following helps you feel more comfortable and prepared for your visit.
When Christians gather for worship, we believe we are entering into God's loving and welcoming presence. During the service, we sing songs — some joyful, some prayerful — that express who God is, what He has done for us, and our need for His help and forgiveness. You're welcome to sing along, or simply listen and reflect.
You'll hear readings from the Bible — typically three: one from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament letters, and one from the Gospels (the stories about Jesus). After the readings, the pastor will share a message (or sermon), usually around 10–15 minutes long, that helps us apply God's Word to our everyday lives.
We also spend time in prayer, led by the pastor or another member of the church. This is a quiet, reflective time where you're invited to join in by listening, thinking, and resting your body, mind, and soul.
Most of our services include Holy Communion (also called the Lord’s Supper), a sacred part of Christian worship. If you’re new to Christianity or still exploring, we’d love to meet with you beforehand to explain what Communion is all about and why it’s so important to us.
At the end of the service, the pastor or worship leader shares a blessing, reminding us that God is always with us and sends us out into the world to share his love. Afterwards, we invite you to join us in Peace Hall (the large hall on the left as you come out the main church building) for a cuppa — it’s a great time to meet others and say hello.
